Byron is the CEO and founder of National Fleet Tracking The Stinson’s currently own or have owned and operated several companies in diversified fields that include real-estate development, non-profit work, and commercial rentals to restaurants, homes and a local bank. The largest and oldest corporation they currently oversee is Glen Rose Transportation Management Inc., (www.grtminc.com) a multi million dollar non-asset transportation brokerage company, founded in 1986, located in their home town of Glen Rose, Texas.
The Stinson family has been blessed through the decades to be surrounded by a solid team of loyal managers and employee’s who work hard every day to deliver great value to their customers with honesty and integrity.
Since 1977 as co-owner of Stinson Motor Lines Mr.. Stinson had seen the need for more “real time” support for good drivers and truck lines. As the years have gone by that need has increased. To fill that need for better OTR location information for the trucking industry as well as real time temperature, fuel saving techniques and security alerts He and the technology team collaborated to launch National Fleet Tracking. The result was the development of best in the business tools for the trucking industry at NFT. In 2012 the business development team realized a new and unique opportunity for shippers to have more traceability, security and control of loads during transit. From years of experience in the logistics business combined with the modern platform of tracking developed by the National Fleet Tracking a new patent pending device was designed by NFT called GPS in a box (www.GPSInaBox.com). With GPS in a box full truck load shipping customers can now “own” their shipping information without needing to rely on drivers or truck lines to track their products location, security, humidity and temperature. GPS in a box is now available and helping great companies reduce supply chain loss, claims and customer complaints.
Byron and his wife Tammy are Judeo-Christian believers in Jesus, together they founded and oversee (www.FathersHouseFoundation.org). a 501c3 public charity involved in many mercy ministries and educational journeys to Israel. Byron currently serves on the board of directors for the Promise in Glen Rose. (www.ThePromiseGlenRose.com) as board liaison to the General Manager . Additionally he is the past chairman of the board of the Glen Rose ISD, The Somervell county library board, and has served the area and his community on several other boards including parks and recreation, President of a 40 school Central Education District, Somervell county Central Appraisal district, President of the local library board and served as a Somervell county constable from 1976 to 1979.
Mr. and Mrs. Stinson greatest joys are serving the Lord, their 8 children, 17+ grandkids and being small parts in a strong and talented team of professionals within their companies.
